Celebrate Simple Christmas Eve With Interesting Room Decor
If you want to celebrate a simple Christmas at your house, which is essential decorations that symbolize Christmas is mounted above the fireplace or in the family room, I think that’s enough. Now we play with lights, Christmas is a simple bouquet lampshade craft project a great way to remake an old lampshade into a new Christmas feature in your home. You can use the old lamp shade cloth or damage as a basis for the Christmas craft project to save money.
How a Christmas wreath, I have a few recommendations. If you go for Christmas retro looks then by all means use of silver tinsel garland you buy by the roll. That’s great for Christmas lampshade. Try using a red wooden beads Christmas wreath for a charming country look, nor use lampshades and elegant Christmas wreath beaded beads made of clear glass.
The first step is to completely remove all of the fabric from your damaged or existing lampshade. Start by poking some scissors through the fabric, then cut away. Once you have the body of the fabric removed then start working on the material wrapped onto he wires. This will take some time, but is a great way to save a little money and salvage and exiting lampshade.
Tip: If you don’t have a damaged or existing lampshade you want to get rid of you can buy these wire frames of a lampshade at any lampshade store. Some arts and crafts stores will also sell them.
Now, the first step is to cut off a few little four inches pieces of floral wire.
Take the end of your Christmas garland and fasten it to the bottom back of the round lampshade. Use the floral wire and wrap it around the garland end and the lampshade frame.
Now, take you Christmas garland and wrap it up the front of the lampshade frame over the top and down the inside.
Now, continue repeating this process all the way around the lampshade. You can space the Christmas garland however you would like.
I personally like to have the garland wrap so that it is touching itself all the way around. This way you create a solid lamp. This is a great look for any kind of Christmas garland.
You could also cut a paper insert to fit inside of your lamp. Glue it in place with some hot glue after you have applied all of your strings of glass beads. Choose some great handmade parchment paper or even some vellum from the art store. They have huge selections of paper that would be absolutely perfect for this simple Christmas craft project.
Tips:
Seriously, you do not want to burn the house down at Christmas so here is some advise. NEVER use a bulb that has a higher watt than recommended in a lamp. For all of these decorative lamp shades I recommend using a low watt bulb. 25 to 40 watts at most. These are meant to be decorative lights. You can rely on other lamps and light sources to illuminate your home.
